Yvonne studied law at the University of North London and obtained a 2.1 LLB Law Degree whilst continuing to work at the Hackney Community Law Centre. Yvonne went on to complete her Legal Practice Course at the College of Law and qualified in 2004 as a Solicitor. Yvonne gained a wealth of experience specialising in Immigration, Nationality, Housing and Community Care Law whilst working at the Hackney Community Law Centre. Yvonne left the law centre after 23 years to set up Owens Stevens Solicitors initially with Rebecca Owens in 2007 then as Principal Solicitor and Sole practitioner of Owens Stevens Solicitors since 2012.
Yvonne is a member of the Law Society Immigration and Nationality Accreditation Scheme and is a Level 2 Senior Supervisor. Yvonne is also a member of the Immigration Law Practitioners Association.
