I am an experienced private client solicitor and have been providing advice in the private client sector since 1988, qualifying first as a fellow of the (then) Institute of Legal Executives and then as a solicitor in 2000. I have spent my entire career in the private client sector providing specialist advice in probate and estate administration, Wills, Trusts, Lasting Powers of Attorney, estate planning and Court of Protection applications.
My particular expertise lies in working with families providing pragmatic advice and solutions in respect of succession, taxation and financial issues and acting for people wishing to be appointed by the Court of Protection as a deputy on behalf of a loved one who has lost their mental capacity.
My passion is working with and to protect elderly and vulnerable people.
Probate and the administration of an estate following a death can be a difficult time for a family and I have the skills and experience to ensure this process is conducted efficiently and effectively allowing the family to deal with their grief and the more personal aspects of losing a loved one.
I adopt a holistic approach and advise families on intergenerational estate planning often alongside the family’s other advisors such as accountants and financial advisors ensuring that all the family’s needs are met and all plans are implemented in a coordinated manner.
I am passionate about ensuring that my clients receive excellent service and practical solutions for their often complex needs.
In addition to being a solicitor I am a full member of:
STEP, The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners
Solicitors for the Elderly.
I am also an Alzheimer's Dementia Friend.
My office is based in Melton Mowbray, a market town in Leicestershire with easy access to Leicester, Nottingham, Oakham and Grantham. I work with clients predominantly throughout the East Midlands, but am able to work with you throughout the UK by the use of remote meetings via the Lawyer365 platform, Zoom and Teams.
I am happy to offer a 30 minute free consultation to explore your legal issue before you decide whether to work with me.
